Scope of this Privacy Policy

Variment delivers solutions that enable our clients to meet their strategic goals. This Privacy Policy applies to personal information that we collect through this website, through other Variment websites on which we post this Privacy Policy, in any of our Applications and offline when you interact with us (such as when you inquire about or purchase services from us). Depending on your relationship with us, additional privacy notices may apply.

Data Controller

For the purposes of the EU General Data Protection Regulation (and the UK version thereof, collectively GDPR) and other applicable laws, “Propl AS”, organization number 926 409 263 is the data controller for the collection and further processing of personal information that we collect through this website. When we refer to Variment throughout this Privacy Policy, we refer to the relevant group entity/entities acting as the data processor and/or data controller.

Variment is the data processor with regard to the personal information that we process on behalf of our clients ("end user personal information"). Please see the section below Information We Collect in our Capacity as a Data Processor.

We collect information, including personal information, directly from you, from other persons, and automatically as you use our website and services (collectively, our "Services").

We use ad network advertisers to serve advertisements on affiliated and non-affiliated website. This enables us and the ad network advertisers to target advertisements to you for products and services in which you might be interested. How do we store your data?

Our website is hosted on the Webflow platform (https://webflow.com/) and our newsletter is connected to the Mailchimp platform (https://mailchimp.com/). Webflow and Mailchimp applications provide us with online platforms that allow us to sell our products and services to you. Your data may be stored on Webflow’s and Mailchimp's data storage, databases, and applications. They store your data on secure servers behind a firewall.

Retention

Variment will keep Services Information, Business Contact, and Website Visitor Information only as long as it remains necessary or relevant for the purposes it is processed for (5 years in most cases) unless longer retention is otherwise required to meet legal or regulatory requirements. Once this time period has expired, we will delete your data by deleting your information on all our communication platforms.

Information We Collect In Our Capacity as a Data Processor

We may collect personal information about end users in our capacity as a data processor on behalf of our clients. When we act as a data processor, our business customer dictates the scope of personal information that we collect from or about end users and our use of that information. Our clients may provide us with—or direct that we collect—the following information about end users: contact information; and behavioral information (such as interactions, preferences, feedback, needs and problems).

We use the personal information that we obtain from our clients for the purpose for which it was provided and according to the instructions of the data controller, predominantly to fulfill the contractual obligation. We also use such information, where permitted by law and contract, for training purposes, trouble-shooting, to investigate and resolve issues and complaints, write or modify software applications. Where permitted by contract and law, we also may use the information (typically in the aggregate) to improve our products and services.

As permitted by our contract with our business customer and/or as required/permitted by law, we disclose end user personal information to service providers/subprocessors to assist in providing the services to our clients; to law enforcement, regulators, advisors, and others, where we believe it necessary to protect our rights and interests, the rights and interests of our clients, or the rights and interests of any other person.

Cross-border Transfers

Your Personal Information may be stored and processed in any country where we have facilities or in which we engage service providers, and by using our Applications you understand that your information may be transferred to countries outside of your country of residence, including the United States, which may have data protection rules that are different from those of your country.
